March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

It's blog hop time again!  If you arrived here from Georgia Hauglid's blog, you are on the right path.  When you are ready to continue to the next blogger, you will find the link at the bottom of this post.
This month our Close To My Heart set is packed with 26 Sentiment stamps for Holidays and Special Occasions.  It also includes a scallop border and a set of brackets to frame those sentiments.  I am currently working on a baby album for my grandson who is due the end of March and this set worked great for the 1st Birthday layout in the album.  My plan is to do the entire album using the Caboodle paper packet ... love those papers!  Here's the layout ... I wish I had pictures to show off ... I mean share :).

Supplies used:
  • Caboodle Paper Packet
  • A Little Everything Stamp Set
  • Star & Balloon Stamp from Celebration Set
  • Make A Wish stamp from Feb. SOTM set
  • Crystal Blue, Sorbet, Sweet Leaf Inks
  • Simple Alphabet Dimensional Elements (changed an "I" to a #1)
  • Crystal Blue Waxy Flax
  • Sunflower Brads
Template Used:
Jazzy Combination found on pages 38-39 of the Imagine book.

Technique Used:
Tissue inking - I stamped both the words Celebrate and birthday in Sweet Leaf, then inked a tissue with crystal blue and tapped it on the bottom half of the words to create the two different colors that were stamped.

  3. I love the layout. It's wonderful to see the stamp set used for something besides cards! I hope you know I will be scraplifting this. It will work great for one of the kids birthday pages.
